Pospisil wins the 1st Qatar ITF Future and the 2nd Week event Gets Underway

Jarsolav Pospisil of Czech Republic clinched the title of the 1st Qatar ITF Futures 2015 by defeating Rui Machado of Portugal in the final match that held on Saturday at 4:00 pm at Khalifa international Tennis and Squash Complex.

Jarsolav could also make it to the final of doubles, partnering his countryman Dominik Kellovsky, where they met the pair of James Marsalek and David Rice of Great Britain and lost 4-6, 6-4 (10-4).

Saad Al Mohannadi; the Tournament Director Said of the 1st week of Qatar Futures event:” Qatar ITF Futures one of the prominent events held by Qatar Tennis Federation, it’s a great chance for the players coming from all over the world to compete and increase their ATP world ranking. Unfortunately our National Team Player were not lucky enough to reach final rounds, but they still have the chance to improve their performance in the upcoming 2nd and 3rd events.”

Trophy presentation took place after the final match, at 6:00 on court 1. In attendance were Tariq Zeinal; the General Secretary Assistant, Saad Al Mohannadi; the Tournament Director, Ashraf Hamouda; ITF Supervisor and a number of QTF employees Coaches and referees.

At the same time, qualifying matches for the 2nd week Qatar ITF Futures kicked off as 28 players are competing to reserve their places in the main draw.
