As for the results; There were wins for both Djokovic and Nadal and of course their respective doubles partners.

Djokovic and countryman Filip Krajinovic scored a straight win over the wildcards team of Jabor Mohammed Ali Mutawa (Qatar) and Malek Jaziri (Tunisia). For the local player is was something special to be up against the world No.1.

“It was a great thrill to face Novak Djokovic on court. He is a great player,” said Ali Mutawa.

Meanwhile Nadal, the winner of the doubles in Doha three times started his campaign well by combining with Argentine Juan Monaco to defeated Simone Bolelli (Italy) and Leonardo Mayer (Argentina) also in straight sets.
