Great Britain's Cox Wins 1st Qatar ITF Futures

The final match of the 1st Qatar ITF Futures was played on Saturday night at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

In singles, the tournament’s top seed, Daniel Cox of Great Britain, defeated No. 2 seed, Belgian's Yannic Merterns, 6-3, 6-4, to win the title.

In doubles, the title went to the British duo of Liam Broady and Joshua Ward-Hibbert when they defeated the team of Lorenzo Fregerio and Lica Vanni from Italy, 6-3, 7-5

The trophy presentation took place after the matches. In attendance were Saad Al Mohannadi, Tournament Director; Ashraf Hamouda, ITF Supervisor; and Ehab Awad, Administrative Supervisor; in addition to a number of media representative.
