08 Oct 2012
No. 1 seed, Clement Reix of France, won the singles title at the 2nd Qatar ITF Futures 2012. It was not an easy week of matches for the Frenchman whose first three matches all went to three sets. He faced the No. 2 seed, Great Britain's Oliver Golding, in the final. Golding had had an easier time getting through the tournament, only having his semifinal match go to three sets. Reix was determined from the start of the final and wasted no time in his defeat od the Englishman in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. In doubles, the No. 3 Czech duo of Roman Jebavy and Oktar Lucak defeated the second seeds, Adam Chadaj and Andriej Kapas of Poland in straight sets to lift the title, 6-4, 6-4.
